How do we calibrate?

Calibration is a three-step process that takes place in a conversation on average every five seconds. Step 1: Person A introduces new information. Step 2: Person B responds to it. Step 3: Person A follows up on the response.

Observe Calibration
When you watch a conversation today: Observe how calibration happens. What information is person A introducing? How does Person B respond? How does Person A follow up on the response?

Learn more about observing conversations in our 4-week online course “Explore your Interactions: Applying Microanalysis of Face-to-Face Dialogue in Your Conversations“. The next course starts on January, 14, 2021.
