Concepts travel through conversations
The concepts we introduce in a conversation, influence the dialogue.
When we ask a question, we embed a concept in the question, e.g. “best hopes” in the question “What are your best hopes from coming here?” or “things that work well” in the question “What works well at the moment?”. And these concepts very likely show up in the conversation again.
Listen to how your concepts travel through the conversation
When you have a conversation today, listen to how the concepts that you introduce, show up in the stories that your conversation partner tells you. If you asked, “What are your best hopes from coming here?” or any other question at the beginning, stay curious to notice when your conversation partner picks up the concept of “best hopes” or the one you introduced during the conversation again. In our experience, the concepts we introduce show up in the stories of our conversation partners again. The concepts we introduce in the dialogue make a difference!
