What we hear makes a big difference. Our focus when listening and our quality of listening to others impact the storyteller and the stories they tell us.

Let’s do an experiment today:

Listen in your conversations with your full attention and focus on the brilliance and the expertise of your conversation partners. Listen with the attitude „Wow“ I’m convinced that you are already on your way towards your preferred future“.

Keep your focus in particular on

• – what’s already working,
• – aspects of the preferred future of your conversation partner, and on
• – signs of progress towards his/her preferred future.

 

In the evening, please take some time to reflect your conversations.

• – When did you manage to listen this way? How did you exactly do that?
• – What differences did that make for you? What differences could that have made for your conversation partners?
• – What else was useful to listen in this SF way?
