Choose words that foster change

Change happens all the time.
However, we often use words that pretend stability. When we use the verb “to be” we co-construct a stable world. This can make sense, if we want to “stabilize” something good, e.g. “I am creative”. And it can have disadvantages when we formulate something in a stable form that we would like to change, e.g. “I am not creative.”.

Observe your phrasing:
Check your phrasing today for how you use the verb “to be”. What do you formulate in a stable way? How do you manage to replace it (e.g. “I experience myself as creative” instead of “I am creative.”)? And what differences does that make for you and your conversation partners?
